Singapore, 28 August 2025 – The Geneva Association and Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) announce that the 2025 editions of their flagship gatherings – the Geneva Association’s Programme on Regulation and Supervision (PROGRES) and GAIP Summit – will be staged consecutively at the Andaz Singapore on 15–17 September 2025. The GAIP Summit will be held on 15–16 September, and PROGRES will directly follow on 16–17 September, creating a single three‑day platform for industry leaders, policymakers, supervisors, and other key players to engage in regional and global dialogue.
The Geneva Association’s 2025 PROGRES event, held under the theme of “Closing Protection Gaps and Enhancing Inclusive Insurance Through Regulation”, will explore how regulatory and supervisory frameworks can adapt to today's complex global environment. With discussions on disaster resilience, longevity and cyber risks, as well as financial inclusion, the event will offer insights on how to shape forward-looking regulatory approaches in today's uncertain world.
GAIP Summit 2025 carries the theme “From Dialogue to Action: Collaborating towards Risk Resilience.” Building on the inaugural 2024 edition, the summit will deepen the conversation on Asia’s protection gaps by focusing on actionable strategies to close Asia’s protection gaps through multi-sectoral collaborative efforts, including innovative financing, public-private-philanthropic partnerships, and regulatory enablement.
The two events will be graced by Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Singapore’s Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Another highlight will be a joint Geneva Association-GAIP fireside chat on 16 September, featuring the respective Chairs of the Geneva Association and GAIP, Lee Yuan Siong and Yoshihiro Kawai, alongside the Secretary General of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS), Jonathan Dixon. This high-level dialogue will underscore the importance of global alignment and collective leadership.
Jad Ariss, Managing Director of the Geneva Association, said, “We are delighted to hold our annual PROGRES event in Asia this year for the first time, a testament to the region’s strategic significance for the global insurance industry. We are equally pleased to collaborate with GAIP, allowing us to examine today’s critical topics with both a regional and global lens and harness synergies across our stakeholder networks.”
“Over the past year, GAIP has moved purposefully from convening conversations to catalysing concrete initiatives,” added Min Hung Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of GAIP. “The GAIP Summit 2025 is a decisive moment: it turns the priorities we identified in 2024 into strategic, measurable actions that will strengthen Asia’s resilience. Aligning the Summit with the Geneva Association’s PROGRES Seminar, we aim to provide our stakeholders with a shared roadmap for closing protection gaps across the region and beyond.”
