
David Burt, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), is Founder and CEO of DeltaTerra Capital. David has spent more than 25 years helping institutional investors get the most out of their real estate and structured finance investments.
Before founding DeltaTerra, David was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management Company. Prior to Wellington, he built investment processes at BlueMountain Capital, AlderTree Capital (a 2006 startup he founded to bet against the mortgage credit bubble), BlackRock Financial Management, and State Street Research and Management. He began his career as a Real Estate Economist at Property & Portfolio Research. David has been a CFA® Charter holder since 2002 and received a BS in mathematics, with a minor in economics, from MIT in 1997.
David serves as a trustee for the Boston Children’s Museum and is establishing a foundation to help preserve climate stability for future generations.

Jennifer Chang is a Vice President – Senior Credit Officer and Global Lead for Physical Climate Risk in Moody’s Sustainable Finance Credit Group. Previously, she was the Public Power Sector Lead in the Global Project and Infrastructure Finance Group. She was also a lead senior analyst on power project finance and public-private partnership (PPP) rating assignments, launched the Infrastructure in Emerging Markets’ series, and authored several reports on PPPs, power, and drillship transactions.
Prior to Moody’s, Jennifer was an energy finance specialist in the Latin American and Caribbean and Africa regions at the World Bank. Before that, she worked at BNP Paribas covering North American utilities and at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Credit Agricole covering media and telecoms.
She has a masters and a certification in sustainable water management from Columbia University and a bachelor of science and business administration from Drexel University.

Clare Cordingley is the Manager of Government and Industry Affairs at IAG, where she plays a key role in shaping policy responses to climate risk, natural hazards, and disaster resilience. Her work focuses on strengthening the interface between insurers, government agencies, and industry bodies to improve risk reduction outcomes for Australian communities. Clare represents IAG in several cross-sector initiatives, including the Hazards Insurance Partnership, where she advocates for collaborative solutions that enhance insurance affordability, availability, and long-term resilience.

Kam joined American Modern in 2020 with more than 20 years of experience in technology and insurance. As Chief Underwriting Officer, he is responsible for executing the organisation’s product, pricing, underwriting, and data analytics strategy. He has experience in personal lines and the specialty insurance space and is skilled at bridging the gap between market insurance needs and technology solutions.
Prior to American Modern, Kam held executive roles at various insurance organisations. He holds a bachelor of technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Varanasi and an MBA in marketing and product management from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

With 15 years of experience in law and public policy, Michael Newman currently serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) and leads its public policy engagement at the federal, state, and local levels.
Michael joined IBHS in 2020 from the US Department of the Treasury, where he worked on a range of domestic and international policy issues. He now works with a team of scientists and risk communicators to turn IBHS research into real-world impact. Michael informs, educates, and engages policymakers in support of policies that strengthen the resilience of housing, businesses, and communities. He also leads IBHS’s engagement with affordable housing providers, developers, funders, and policymakers.

Maryam Golnaraghi is Director Climate Change & Environment at The Geneva Association. Her work is currently focused on de-risking climate technologies for the energy transition and industrial decarbonisation; insurability of physical climate risk; forward-looking climate risk assessment and scenario analysis; and climate litigation. From 2004–2014, Maryam was the Chief of the Disaster Risk Reduction Program at the World Meteorological Organization. She served as founder and CEO of Climate Risk Solutions from 1997–2004. Maryam also serves on various executive and advisory boards and as a mentor to climate tech startups at the Creative Destruction Lab. Maryam holds a BS in chemical engineering from Cornell University, an MS in applied physics and a PhD in physical oceanography from Harvard University.
