Join us for a deep dive on our latest report, Expediting Sectoral Decarbonisation: Strategic implications for the insurance industry, as we discuss how hard-to-abate sectors are transforming amid divergent climate-policy approaches, geopolitical volatility, energy-security concerns, and evolving risk and investment landscapes.

Industries are employing a range of solutions to decarbonise their operations, from electrification and CCUS to technologies for the use of carbon credits. However, progress remains uneven. Carbon-intensive sectors face structural constraints, fragmented policy frameworks, growing exposure to physical climate risks and challenges with delivering complex, capital-intensive projects.

This webinar will explore the collective action needed to drive sectoral decarbonisation – and the role re/insurers play as risk managers, partners, and enablers of capital for industrial sectors.

Moderator: Maryam Golnaraghi (Director Climate Change & Environment, Geneva Association)

Panellists:

  • Thomas Guillot, CEO, Global Clement and Concrete Association
  • Lesley Harding, Global Head of Strategic Relationships, Energy & Transition Risk, Liberty Mutual Insurance
